Re-open Information fact sheet
Members, As we endeavour to re-open the Club, we are taking steps to ensure that we all maintain maximum cleanliness and social distancing on the premises. As well as frequent deep cleaning of all front-of-house areas, we will be providing hand-sanitisation stations throughout for members and guests to use. All our front-of-house and kitchen staff will receive special and regularly updated training and will wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment). Our chefs are well-trained in the highest of hygiene standards and will be applying even more stringent steps to deep clean the kitchen on a frequent basis. They will always use the freshest of ingredients in our dishes, to maintain the highest standards that members expect. We hope that members and their guests understand the need for this strict regime at the present time. We have appreciated your continued support through the past weeks, and your co-operation during this challenging time for us all. (Obviously, these plans may need to change, as government guidelines are amended.) We would ask all members, not to visit our premises if you or any family member has any symptoms, or if you are self-isolating following travel overseas or possible contact with a sufferer. Thank you

Pre - booking
Members will appreciate that, under current restrictions, your dining experience, while still excellent, will be slightly different, as we do our utmost to keep members, their guests and our staff, as safe as possible. Members will need to pre-book their tables, arrival times will be staggered to allow our staff to welcome your party appropriately and to explain the new regime we have put in place for your safety. Pre-booking can be done online or by phone (please bear with us if you do not get through first time, as we will be working remotely when the Club is closed). You can also leave a message or email info@thepottersclub.co.uk and we will be happy to call you back. https://www.gigantic.com/the-potters-club-tickets is the new way to book use the link on our website to book a table, which will enable pre-payment at the time of booking. The new system, which we had been looking at pre-lockdown, for easier events booking, is a well-tested and secure system. The link will take you to our page on the Gigantic.com website, and your payment will show on your statement as a payment to Gigantic. Gigantic have created this page for us, at short notice, in order to enable us to have a working online booking and payment system, so some of the terminology on the page is generic – you will be asked to book tickets, rather than meals – so please bear with us as we work to personalise our page, as soon as we can.

Opening Times and Menu
We will be restricting our opening times, at least in these initial stages, to Friday and Saturday evenings 6.30 - 10pm (last order for food 8.30pm) and Sunday lunchtimes 12 - 4pm (last orders for food 2pm). We will be restricting access to a maximum of 30 guests for the full dining experience at any one time. (We will retain a register of guests attending, to assist with trace and test, if necessary) Menu We will be offering a set-priced three course plus filter coffee menu at £40 per person on Friday & Saturday evenings and £30 per person (£10 for two courses for children under 12) for Sunday lunch, which will need to be pre-paid at the time of booking. Of course, we will continue to meet specific dietary requirements, where these are advised well in advance. £10 Monthly Credit The credit to your account during the lockdown (for all fully paid members), has been converted into vouchers which can be redeemed in-house (maximum of two vouchers per visit). These vouchers are a special thank you for your continued support and can be used as payment towards your final bill.

For your safety on arrival & during your visit
Members and their guests are asked to arrive at the time allocated when you made the booking. This is essential so we can assist with the social distancing rule. If you are delayed for any reason, please call us on 01782 848869, to advise your estimated time of arrival, so that we can ensure social distancing. (Please note that there will be roadworks, with traffic lights, ongoing in Station Road, outside the Club, for several weeks. These are likely to delay your arrival by several minutes, so please allow extra time for your journey.) On arrival at the Club, guests are advised to use the lift, not the stairs, and to use the hand sanitiser at the station in the lobby before entering the lift and touching the keypad. Staff will be sanitising the lift keypad after every use. On arrival in reception, we will ask all members of the party to use the hand-sanitiser provided. Before you are shown to your allocated table, a member of staff will take your temperature using a contactless thermometer. Coats will be stored in the Johnson Room to reduce the number of guests in the cloakroom, thereby allowing clear access to the restroom facilities. Due to the current legislation both ladies’ and gents’ facilities are strictly on a ‘one out, one in’ basis, and staff will sanitise frequently. Paper towels will be made available, for use when touching taps and soap dispensers. We will be restricting access to a maximum of 30 guests in the Club at any sitting, with tables in the restaurant at least one metre apart. The bar area will be closed until further notice. In order to accommodate as many parties as possible, table size is restricted to a maximum of six – household groups and bubbles, as per the current regulations. When seated at your table, your designated staff member will take your orders for drinks and food at the same time. Your food and drinks will be served at your table and we would kindly ask you to pour your own wine and water throughout your meal. In the restaurant, in order to ensure maximum hygiene and customer safety, we will be providing individual sachets of ‘nibbles’ (sorry, no melba toast!), along with disposable menus and drinks and wine lists. If you wish to relax in the lounge after your meal, please inform your designated member of staff so that they can allocate an appropriate table, to maintain social distancing. To pay for any extras purchased during your visit, and to leave a staff tip, please ask your member of staff to bring the bill to your table, to avoid the need for queuing at reception. Payment can be made at your table or in the lounge. Please note that we will not have facilities for taking cash, so please remember to bring your debit/credit card with you. Departure When leaving the Club, please remember to collect your coats and belongings from the Johnson Room, before departing using the lift. Please be aware of other guests leaving, while keeping a safe distance, and don’t forget to check the code for exiting the car park. We look forward to welcoming you back to your Club, very soon.
