Try at home  - Homemade Sausage Rolls - By Head Chef Rino

Ingredients

300 g of good quality sausages or sausage meat 

500 g of already rolled puff pastry (all butter is best)

1 beaten egg

 

Method

 

With the help of a small knife ,remove the skin

of the sausages and lightly season with salt and 

plenty freshly ground black pepper

 

Unroll the pastry and place a layer of sausage meat 

mixture down the middle then brush with beaten 

egg on one of the long edges.

 

Fold the other side of the pastry over onto the egg- 

washed edge Press down to seal and trim any excess

 

Cut the pastry roll into 8-10 small sausage rolls

 

Place the sausage rolls on greaseproof paper

and on a baking tray, bake for 15-20 minutes

or until the pastry is crisp and golden and the sausage

meat is completely cooked through
